Not sure if you have a sewer leak?

Common Sewer Leak Issues

  • Slow or Gurgling Drains: Often the first sign of a blockage or break.

  • Foul Odors: Sewage smells indoors or outside your home can signal a hidden leak.

  • Foundation Movement or Cracks: Leaking sewer water can erode the soil under your slab, leading to shifts.

  • Patches of Greener Grass: A small, unusually healthy area in your yard may be caused by sewage acting as fertilizer.

  • Rodents or Insects: Broken lines can attract pests through access points in your foundation or yard.

  • Frequent Backups: If plunging or snaking doesn’t work, a broken pipe may be the root issue.

If you're noticing one or more of these problems, don't wait—early detection can save you thousands in repair costs and property damage.

Our Sewer Repair Process

We follow a proven, step-by-step process to accurately locate and resolve sewer leak issues

Step 1

Leak Detection

We start with a hydrostatic test to check for leaks in your plumbing system. A drop in water level means we’ve got a leak—and it’s time to inspect further.

Step 2

Camera Inspection & Isolation Testing

Camera Inspection –
We send a high-resolution camera through your sewer lines to identify breaks, bellies, and root damage.

Isolation Testing –
We test specific sections of the line to pinpoint the exact leak location.

Marking Problem Spots –
Clear marking on the floor or ground for planning repairs.

Step 3

Repair or Replacement Estimate

Once we’ve located the damage, we’ll provide a detailed quote for repairs—whether it’s a targeted spot fix or full pipe replacement. We often schedule work the same week.

If you don’t move forward with repairs, you only pay for Steps 1 & 2.

  • Part of Step 1 to see if you have a leak , $450

  • Part of Step 2, locating any breakage or damage, $300 + $150 for each additional hour.

  • $200 per toilet

  • Part of Step 2, in order to determine exactly where the leak is, $500 + $250 for each additional hour.

  • Part of Step 2, $200 per location

  • Will be provided at the end of inspection.

Final repair costs depends on depth, access and scope (spot repair, reroute, or full system replacement).

Transparent Pricing Breakdown

We believe in honest, up-front pricing with no hidden fees. Here’s what you can expect when choosing The Plumbinator for your Sewer Leak Repair.

  • Aging pipes, root intrusion, shifting soil, corrosion, or poor installation can all cause breaks or separations in your sewer lines.

  • Most homes in Central Texas use one of these types of sewer lines:

    • Cast Iron – Strong but corrosion-prone after 50 years

    • PVC – Common in modern homes; lightweight and reliable

    • Clay/Orangeburg – Often found in older homes; very fragile

    • ABS – Found in homes from the 70s–90s; durable but outdated

If you're unsure what kind of sewer pipes your home has, our camera inspections will help you find out—fast.

  • Yes. Sewage leaks can cause major property damage, foul odors, and even health hazards if left untreated.

  • Initial detection usually takes 1–2 visits. Repairs can often be scheduled within the same or following week, depending on the severity and access.

  • In some cases, yes. But for older systems (especially cast iron), repeated spot repairs can lead to more leaks down the line. We’ll give you the best long-term recommendation.

  • Usually not. It’s a temporary fix and can mask ongoing corrosion or collapse. We recommend full replacement for older systems.

  • We don’t just detect leaks—we fix them the right way. Our team handles everything from start to finish, including:

    • Tunneling under slab foundations

    • Crawling under pier-and-beam homes

    • Partnering with trusted local excavators

    • Restoring your property with care

You’ll even get live footage and updates during the repair process—no mysteries, just full transparency.
